Curator: Beniamino Levi
Production: Dalí Universe
Dalí Universe with the Patronage of the Municipality of Modena, proposes in this exhibition artworks that testify the close link between the Surrealist method and the psychoanalytic revolution, offering an experience that constitutes a true journey into Dalí’s mind.
Dalí’s work is characterized by a constant engagement with psychological themes, often taken in their symbolic valence, as in the morphology of the snail, the decomposition into drawers of the body of Venus, the depiction of the body in flames or the interest in alchemical books and the metamorphosis of matter up to the well-known soft clocks.
In an articulated itinerary, the exhibition takes the public on a journey through Dalí’s mind and his work, documenting the creative way in which the artist represented the unconscious and its symbologies, while also touching on the “multifaceted” aspects of his artistic production.
Beniamino Levi, gallery owner, art critic and president of Dalí Universe, is a curator and entrepreneur who has spanned decades of artistic movements by forging significant partnerships with numerous artists, among whom Salvador Dalí undoubtedly stands out.
He dedicated a permanent museum founded in Paris in the early 1980s to the master’s works. He is the founder of the platform LART UNIVERSE (Levi ART), dedicated to the marketing and promotion of established andemerging artists.
Dalí Universe is the brand that grew out of the collection of Salvador Dalí’s works owned by Beniamino Levi. Arising from the experience gained in the Levi Gallery in Montenapoleone, Milan, dating back to the 1960s, it has grown into the current Dalí Universe Collection, which fifty years later continues to evolve as a cultural and commercial platform.
